Ryan's Court is the new innovative dementia wing attached the original grade two listed residential home. This state of the art building has been sensitively designed in providing an environment that is adapted to make sense to the individual experiencing a dementia.

The management team consists of Lizzie Flood, Louise Griffin and Amanda Mills, who are dedicated to the philosophy of person, centered care that underpins the provision of service within the home.

The primary factor of our care practice is visually seen and felt from staff who work from the heart, enabling a real connection to the people who reside at the home.

The essence of the home

The internal and external environments have been designed and tailored to help people make sense of where they are. We have purposely divided Ryan's Court into four quadrants schemed and sign posted, Nautical Way, Daffodil Street, Allotment Corner and The West End. Each area has objects of reference to enhance orientation, some meaningful occupation and conversation.

The ground floor and first floor has a spacious homely lounge that over looks the well maintained surrounding grounds.Ryan's Court

Each bedroom has been designed to compliment the corridor themed area to support a person’s sense of orientation and independence. All bedrooms have a memory box situated outside of the door, they are for keeping personal items of reminiscence to help create positive memories and feelings to the individual and for promoting a persons individuality and identity.

We are registered with Great Witley, York Street and Stourport Health Centre, doctors visit as required and monthly review are held to ensure the physical and mental well being of the individual.

The home provides internal associated services which include hairdressing, podiatry, manicures, reflexology, seasonal activates etc.

We have a meaningful occupational support person, Ken Wood who assists the staff in engaging people in small tasks associated with their past jobs and daily domestic tasks that are stored deeply in the memory. This sense of achievement provides a sense of feeling busy, useful, and occupied and being successful in their daily life.
