The location
Situated within easy reach of Stourport’s town centre, Minster Grange is a splendid Georgian-style Residential Care Home which successfully combines a homely atmosphere with tasteful and serene décor. It was first registered in 1986 and was extended in 1990 to accommodate 26 residents.  The home is operated under the management Helen & Vanessa, and has been both purposefully designed and is run with the needs of the elderly in mind. The main aim of Helen and her staff is to help all residents achieve a style of living which is relaxed and enjoyable, and as similar as possible to their former lifestyle. The main facilities Minster Grange if maintained at a very high standard, and offers cheerful and bright rooms throughout. The lounge area has a picture window overlooking the pleasant gardens to the rear, and residents are encouraged to make full use of these areas during the warmer months if they so wish. A conservatory overlooks the pleasantly laid out flower beds to the front of the house. Bedrooms in the home are equally bright and elegant, and most have both bathroom and toilet en suite facilities. Safety is naturally high on the list of priorities, and alarm call systems are fitted by each bed, and are also installed in the bathrooms and toilets (as well as in the lift which operates between floors). The assorted services within the home include a TV lounge, on-site hairdressing, podiatry and manicures etc. The spirit of Minster Grange Residents at Minster Grange find that every effort is made to respect their preferences, values and individuality. Staff are well trained and experienced in balancing their vigilance in ensuring each individual’s well-being is assured with steps to preserve the appropriate degree of independence and right to privacy. The Resident’s individual wishes are respected and catered for wherever possible, and visits from family and friends are welcomed without restriction. Also welcome are visits from local Ministers of the various religions. The location of Minster Grange offers not only the convenience of the town, but also the local countryside and nearby beauty spots. There are also various well-noted towns within a short drive away which are visited from time to time by the willing and able residents. Meals & services All meals served at Minster Grange are again of the highest standard, with freshness and quality being the main aims. Experience has shown that the philosophy of good home cooking combined with a wide variety in the menu is well received by the residents. Special diets can be catered for when necessary. Meal times are as follows: Breakfast 8.15am-9am Mid-morning tea 11am Lunch 12.30pm Afternoon tea & biscuits 3pm High tea 5pm Night Cap 7pm The team and staff with the on-site qualified senior carer provide 24 hour care which is of the highest possible standard to each of the 26 persons accommodated at Minster Grange. The home enjoys the company of both male and female residents.
