The location

Dunley HallThe home is situated in the idyllic rural area of Dunley, five minutes from Stourport town centre. The Victorian style Residential Care Home is renowned for its homely atmosphere and original features. It was first registered in 1989 and now provides accommodation for nineteen residents. An extension to the home which has now been completed offers an additional fifteen beds for meeting the varying emotional and physical needs of dementia.

The management team consists of Lizzie Flood, Louise Griffin and Amanda Mills, who are committed to the service provision for older people within a communal living environment.

The primary factor of our service is to support residents in maximizing their full potential in living a fulfilling and enjoyable life.

The main facilities

Dunley Hall is maintained to a high standard internally and externally, all rooms are decorated in traditional styles which compliment the period of the building.

The home offers the use of two lounges, the Gold Lounge for a quiet and relaxing atmosphere or the Blue Lounge for TV and social activities. Both lounges overlook the well maintained surrounding grounds.

Each bedroom is personalised to the individual who resides in the home and most have bathroom and toilet facilities.

We pride ourselves on the high standards of health and safety provided in the care practice and the environment.

We are registered with Great Witley, York Street and Stourport Health Centre. Doctors visit as required and monthly reviews are held to ensure the physical and mental well being of the individual. Not all situations

require the attendance of a Doctor, minor aliments are usually dealt with by Mandy Mills (Team manager) who will liaise with or call out the District Nurse services as specified.

The home provides internal associated services which include hairdressing, podiatry, manicures, reflexology, entertainment, seasonal activities etc.

The essence of the home

The highly trained and experienced staffing team is complied of a varied skill base which compliments the needs of the residents, ensuring each resident’s emotional and physical well being is met with dignity, respect and choice within all areas of daily life.

The home provides twenty four hour provision of care which is of the highest standard possible to each resident.

Meals and services

Resident’s families and friends are respected and cordially invited to visit with out restriction. At Dunley we offer a restaurant style menu to promote the residents choice and independence.

We actively encourage residents to request the pleasure of family and friends to dine with them in the privacy of the gold lounge at no extra cost.

All meals served at Dunley are of the highest standard, with quality and freshness being the priority of the service.

Experience has shown that the philosophy of wholesome home cooked meals combined with a wide variety of choices on the menu is well received by the residents. Special dietary requirements are catered for by the head chef as necessary.

The location of the home offers the convenience of the local town and also the immediate countryside and nearby recommended beauty spots and historical sites of interest.
